About Me
Personal Summary:
Below is where I have shared a little bit about me!
Everything Happens for a Reason
This is quote is something that I have lived by since since I was 6 years old. It reminds me that everything we do has purpose and that the sun will shine another day and we will all be okay. Staying positive is so important for my mental health. My nana is someone who taught me from the beginning that "Everything happens for a reason." I am so lucky to have someone like her in my life.
Hobbies
One of my favorite hobbies is photography! I have always been interested in taking pictures and seeing the beauty around me. Most recently, I have been taking pictures of my family and friends! Whether it is pictures of seniors, family, or nature I am excited to capture life's moments. I believe that a picture holds a thousand words.
Community Service
I have been involved in several community service/volunteering opportunities throughout my life. My coaches have helped me find my passion for helping others. I have worked a lot with young children; whether I was teaching them new sports, helping with school work, or just making sure they were having fun. I continue to find community service jobs that involve children! I enjoy volunteering because I am able to show my personality through caring for others.
Family
My family is very important to me and who I am today. They have taught me so much and I love to spend time with them. We go on adventures, family vacations, and like to go on the lake together. I am so grateful for them because I can always count on them. I am a very family oriented person and I appreciate any quality time I get to have with them.
Sports
Sports have always played such a large role in my life. Participating in sports has taught me so many life skills that I use daily in my life. I have played a plethora of sports such as basketball, tennis, volleyball, track, cross country, dance, gymnastics, and cheerleading over the years. The two sports that stuck with me the most and shaped me into the person I am now are track and cheerleading. I have learned how to lead with pride and share my knowledge with others. In cheerleading, I learned how to be confident and how to set a good example for my younger teammates. I also learned how to be a role model for my school and community. In track, I learned the importance of teaching and being patient with others. Hurdling is a difficult sport, so having patience and compassion brought me a long way. Having coaches in both sports that cared about me also made me the person I am today. They taught me all I know, and I am so thankful for them. Overall, sports have brought me so many lessons, and I am forever grateful for the opportunities being an athlete has given me.
